A man and woman have been taken to hospital after they were involved in a head-on crash in Latchingdon.
A red Citroen Xantia and a black Saab 93 struck each other in Lower Burnham Road at midday on Sunday.
The drivers of both vehicles were injured in the crash and were taken to Broomfield Hospital in Chelmsford by ambulance.
The woman in her 40s suffered a pelvic injury and the man had a chest injury.
The injuries were not life-threatening.
A section of the road was closed for three hours while the care removed and the road was cleared of debris.
