Robbers have stolen jewellery and toys after they were let into a Maldon flat.

Two men were allowed into the flat in Dryden Close yesterday between 5pm and 6pm.

The man who lived in the flat was threatened with violence by the men and it is believed they took a Playstation, a bracelet and a toy gun.

One man was described as black, around 5ft 2in and in his late teens.

The police helicopter was also deployed at the time.

Anyone with information should contact Essex police on 101 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.

Why was the Police helicopter deployed, hardly the crime of the century. Oh, hang on, it's because Maldon police are too useless/frightened/u
nprofessional to attend themselves. Shocking waste of money.
