Does the end of Britain's worst double dip recession since the Second World war mean there is a glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel for Maldon's businesses?

Not just yet, it would seem.

Nick Scott, a director at Dantech Electronic Engineering in The Causeway Industrial Estate, feared a third dip might be on the cards.

While Les Watson, who owns Autosafe in the Street Industrial Estate, in Heybridge, also felt trouble might not be over after recent rate increases “almost killed” his business.

If the gent in the picture is relying on the sale of two wheel transport over the winter period then, for him, any "glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel" is probably the oncoming "third dip" recession special.
