A FUNDRAISING community made a significant impact over the weekend as they rallied together at Claremont Garden Centre to collect donations for a charity.

The Maldon Marie Curie Fundraising Group, dedicated to providing free specialist nursing care to individuals with terminal illnesses and their families within the comfort of their own homes, received tremendous support from the community.

Led by Bridget Brennan, the volunteers and beloved mascot Bertie demonstrated their unwavering commitment to the cause.

Through their efforts and the overwhelming generosity of the public, the group managed to raise just under £350 during the event.

In recognition of their hard work and dedication, the Maldon Marie Curie Fundraising Group expressed their gratitude to Sue and the Claremont staff for their outstanding hospitality.

They were particularly appreciative of the garden centre's decision to host the collection on one of their busiest weekends of the year.

This recent accomplishment adds to the £1,000 that the group had previously raised in March through collections held at Morrisons and with the help of collecting boxes placed in various local businesses.
