COLCHESTER United are set to receive a welcome cash boost after their FA Cup first-round tie with Marine was chosen for live coverage.

The U's clash with their Northern Premier League North/West Division opponents at the JobServe Community Stadium will be streamed live on on the BBC's digital platforms on Saturday, November 7.

The game will kick off at 3pm.

As a result of the coverage, Colchester and Marine will each receive the FA's live broadcast fee of £12,500.

Meanwhile, Maldon and Tiptree's FA Cup tie against Morecambe has been selected by the FA to be shown live on digital platforms.

The first-round showdown till take place on Sunday, November 8 at Park Drive, kicking off at 12.45pm.

The fixture has been selected by the FA and will be shown live on the BBC digital channels and the BT Sport app/red button.

It means the Jammers will receive a live broadcast fee of £32,500 from the FA.

As per restrictions imposed by the FA, the fixture will be played behind closed doors.

Clubs who win their first-round ties will receive £16,972 from The FA prize fund, with losing clubs receiving £5,657.
