COLCHESTER United fans are being invited to vote for their standout U's player of the year for the 2019-20 season.

U's supporters are also being asked to choose their young player of the year, along with their goal of the season as part of the club's season awards.

The club's annual End of Season dinner will not take place at the JobServe Community Stadium this year, due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

But Colchester are still looking for supporters to get in touch with their choices.

There are several players in the running for the U's official player of the year award.

The likes of Tom Eastman, Cohen Bramall, Luke Prosser, Dean Gerken, Theo Robinson and Kwame Poku have all performed well.

And players such as Harry Pell, Frank Nouble, Brandon Comley, Ben Stevenson, Luke Norris and Ryan Jackson have also been among the club's notable performers.

Nominations for the club's young player of the year must have been aged 22 or under, at the start of the season.

Kwame Poku, who is still only 18 years old, is a candidate for the accolade following a fine breakthrough season, while the likes of Cohen Bramall, Ryan Clampin and Noah Chilvers have also impressed.

Colchester once again boast plenty of candidates in their goal of the season category.

Callum Harriott is in the running for his long-range stunner in the U's 2-1 win over Macclesfield Town, in January.

Kwame Poku scored a cracking solo goal in the U's 2-1 triumph at Salford City, in February and Cohen Bramall's sublime free-kick against Carlisle United are also contenders, as is Ryan Clampin's unbelievable strike in the Leasing.com Trophy win over Ipswich Town.

The likes of Brandon Comley, Frank Nouble and Ben Stevenson have also contributed with crackers.

Send your votes for all three awards to media@colchesterunited.net or write to the U's at JobServe Community Stadium, United Way, Colchester, Essex, CO4 5UP.
