COLCHESTER United ran out 2-1 winners over Macclesfield Town, on Saturday afternoon.

A memorable strike from Callum Harriott and Fiacre Kelleher's own goal put the U's in command, in the first half.

And although Ben Stephens pulled a goal back for the Silkmen, it was not enough for the visitors to salvage a point as John McGreal's side made it 13 league games unbeaten.

Colchester lie eighth in League Two, three points off the automatic promotion places ahead of their game against Bradford City, on Tuesday night.
