THE votes have been flooding in for our top non-league manager and goalkeeper - now it's the turn of the full-backs.

We asked you to get your thinking caps on and nominate the cream of the crop in terms of our finest semi-pro talent.

We're putting together an all-star line-up based on performances last season and gave you the chance to vote for one of five managers and goalkeepers on Thursday and Friday respectively.

Now the spotlight falls on full-backs and our shortlist makes interesting reading.

Those in the running are Braintree Town's Andrew Eleftheriou, Brightlingsea Regent's Jake Gould, Heybridge Swifts' Joe Claridge, FC Clacton's Zach Smith-Walter and Liam Whipps, the Witham Town youngster who caught the eye during his loan spell at Halstead Town.

Despite Braintree’s struggles at the foot of the Vanarama National League table, Eleftheriou's time with the Iron was a valuable experience after joining on loan from Watford in January.

Gould has been there, done it and bought the T-shirt during his time with Brightlingsea.

The long-serving defender has been an integral part of the club's recent history, helping them navigate their way up the non-league pyramid, and now looks more than comfortable at step three level.

Perhaps your vote will go to Claridge, an eye-catching performer for Swifts in their highly-successful season - a campaign that ended with play-off victory against neighbours Maldon and Tiptree.

Or maybe our poll will produce a winner from the Thurlow Nunn League.

Strong as an ox, Clacton's Smith-Walter was named young player-of-the-season, as well as being both home and away supporters' player-of-the-season.

And while being a highly-rated Witham player, Whipps has really shone during his productive loan spell at first division south high-fliers Halstead.

Tomorrow, we'll start another poll to determine our top centre-back.

Keep checking our website throughout the week for polls to crown the best midfielder, winger and striker.
