Meanwhile, Fambridge secured an 8-2 victory over Mapledene B, with Mark Stones enjoying a flawless evening, not dropping a single set.

Dan Young and Young Dan Piggott both contributed with three wins, while Chris Hancox lost in three to Noah Sage and in five to Neil Freeman.

Woodham B beat Stow A 9-1, with Sanjay Saptarshi maintaining his fine form and Peter Harverson’s footwork helping secure crucial points.

In Division Two, Woodham C stands out as the only team with a perfect record, edging past Blackwater B 6-4, thanks to three wins from Chris Hancox.

However, his continued success in Division One could impact the team’s performance moving forward.

Mapledene C played to a draw against Stow Maries B, with Dave Reynolds taking Player of the Match after a thrilling comeback, while Blackwater C narrowly defeated Maldon C 6-4 in a tense battle, with Peter Mortensen and Neil Thompson leading the charge.

Maldon D now sits atop Division Three after a dominant 10-0 victory over St Lawrence A, with Keith Thompson and his teammates securing maximum points.

Woodham D faced Cold Norton E, who managed to win 7-3 despite several closely contested matches, including a nail-biting fifth set.

Simon Thomas was awarded Player of the Match for his impressive performance, winning all three of his matches.

BTTL will host a quiz on Saturday, October at West Maldon Community Centre, with doors opening at 7pm.

Everyone is welcome to join in and test their knowledge.
