MALDON Bowls Club enjoyed a strong finals day at Stock Bowls Club, run by the Chelmsford and District Bowling Association.

The highlight of the day was the Men's Singles final, where Tony Wallis faced off against Andy Squire.

Squire made a promising start at 6-3, while Wallis struggled to maintain momentum, and Squire ultimately retained his title with a convincing 21-8 win.

Maldon ended the season with a friendly against Witham BC.

High turnout from both clubs led to five mixed triples being played.

Maldon led on four of the five rinks at half-time and finished strongly.

Maldon finished with three wins, one draw and one loss, winning the overall shot count 92-63.

Club president Carole Ash was congratulated after gaining her EBCS Level 2 coaching qualification.
