BURNHAM Hillside Bowls Club’s men’s B team lost to Ingatestone BC in the Chelmsford and District BA League Marconi Cup.
The match took place on Sunday, September 6 and was contested over three rinks, with victory awarded to the team accumulating the highest overall score.
Ingatestone emerged victorious with an overall score of 55 to 48.
Ingatestone claimed wins on two rinks, with scores of 23 to 17 and 16 to 14, while Burnham Hillside managed to secure one rink, winning 17 to 16.
Thanks were extended to all the volunteers who provided hospitality and support throughout the event.
Burnham Hillside BC also faced Wickford BC in a friendly match over four mixed triples.

The final score in this friendly was 74 to 47 in favour of Wickford.
