YOUNGSTERS at Maldon Rugby Club had an exciting weekend as a team received a new kit.
Building firm Mulalley and Co sponsored the under-10s' new kit.
A club spokesman said they are “very grateful” for the construction company’s continued support for the third season running.
And the latest kit has an exciting addition thanks to a holiday park in Heybridge.
Mill Beach Seaside Resort provided the children with their own smock and dry robe, to wear over their shorts and shirt to keep warm.
George Legg, under-10s team manager and coach, said: “With the rugby season being through the coldest months of the year and children getting cold on the sidelines, before and after games can be a real problem.
“Now that we have the brilliant new robes, the children will be kept warm until they make their way onto the pitch.
“It means they will be in the right frame of mind and physically ready to focus and bring their A game to each match.
“I am incredibly proud of our under-10s team. Their commitment and hard work in the training sessions has paid off , leading to some superb performances on the pitch this season.”
