MALDON Bowls Club's competition semi-finals are now complete and the various finals will take place from Friday until next Monday.
Spectators are very welcome with the programme as follows: Friday 1 September @ 3pm Pairs- P. Charlton/R. Martin v T. Broom/F. Walker; Ladies Handicap- C. Richardson v M. Underdown.
Saturday September 2 @ 10.30 Triples- S.Morrison/G.Cox/F.Walker v S.Wright/R.Martin/D.Green; @ 2pm Mens Championship- A.Squire v T.Wallis.
Ladies Championship - C.Ash v C.Richardson @ 4pm Junior Cup- S.Morrison v P. Holohan; Two Woods- A.Squire v C.Wall.
Sunday September 3 @ 2pm Men's Handicap- T.Wallis v C.Wall.
Veteran's Trophy- S.Morrison v C.Richardson Monday September 4 @ 2pm Edie Feller- M.Orgill v R.Little; @ 4pm Andy Squire the Essex singles champion plays Jack Wells the Norfolk champion in the Eastern Counties singles preliminary round.
In the Chelmsford and District, Maldon B will face Stock B in the Marconi KO Cup Final on Sunday at RHP @ 2pm.
Maldon travelled to Ingatestone for a three-rink mixed triples friendly.
The match was closely contested with Ingatestone winning two of the rinks by two shots.
However the other rink of J.Foster, P.Saunders and C.Richardson won 18-9 to give Maldon a five-shot victory, 45-40 overall.
Maldon BC welcome new members and caters for all levels from newcomers upwards.
