ANDRE Hasanally will benefit hugely from his loan experience at Maldon and Tiptree, according to boss Wayne Brown.

The Colchester United youngster is currently plying his trade with the Jammers at Park Drive and has played his part in their impressive start to the new season.

Hasanally, who joined the Jammers on loan from the U's in the summer, has helped Maldon embark on a nine-match unbeaten run in all competitions since the start of the season.

The 18-year-old has had a hand in their undefeated opening in Pitching In League division north.

And the attacker has also helped them make progress in the FA Cup and FA Trophy competitions.

Indeed, Hasanally grabbed the winner for Maldon in their impressive 1-0 win at National League South side Braintree Town, in their FA Cup third qualifying round win.

And he also netted in their 4-1 triumph over Grays Athletic in the FA Trophy, last weekend.

Hasanally will be hoping to help Maldon reach the first round proper of the FA Cup for the second successive year this weekend when they host Haringey Borough, at Park Drive.

And boss Brown says the experience he is gaining through game time with Maldon is something that is suiting both parties.

Brown said: “He’s scored a couple of goals in a couple of games and that will do his confidence no harm at all.

“It’s a two-way thing – it will be great for Andre to come into this environment and mix it against men in an environment where winning is extremely important with the FA Cup, FA Trophy and league games.

“The physicality for Andre is something that he needs to get better at and this environment will do his development the world of good."

Hasanally has emerged through Colchester's academy, where he has been since he was 11 years old.

The former Thurstable School pupil made his senior debut for them in their 2019-20 League Two opener against Port Vale, when he appeared as a late substitute.
