SOUTHEND Manor boss Adam Peek is looking forward to tonight’s Essex Senior League clash with Woodford Town.

The clash will take place at the Harlow Arena, with Manor looking to climb the standings.

Peek’s side are currently in 18th spot and the Manor chief knows fifth-placed Woodford will be difficult to beat.

“Being involved in a Friday night game is something different and we are looking forward to playing under the lights,” said Peek.

“It’s a 3G pitch at the Harlow Arena and I think that will suit how we like to play.

“We need to pick up some points to climb away from the position we are in.

“Where we are in the table is frustrating because we’re not playing bad.

“We don’t have an out-and-out striker at the moment, while the average age of our defence and goalkeeper is 19.

“Our problem is game management and we need to sort that out.”

Meanwhile, Hullbridge Sports will be looking to remain at the top of the tree when they visit Clapton tomorrow.

Darren Manning’s side are two points clear of second-placed Stansted after claiming a late win over Woodford in midweek.

Clapton are 13th in the Essex Senior League standings and have 22 points less than Sports.
