NINE Dengie 100 Runners headed to the coast for this year's Southend Half-Marathon.
They joined 2,500 others who also seemed to be enjoying the seaside, with quite a few in fancy dress.
The day was bright and cool, with a gentle breeze, making it a good day for running.
The popular two-lap, flat course creates a great atmosphere as runners pass each other up and down the seafront.
All Dengie 100 Runners made it successfully to the finish, with the first back being Tim Wells in a time of one hour, 34 minutes and 44 seconds.
Other times came from Lydia Bazzard (1h 41m 12s), Richard Aylen (1h 42m 10s), Chris McDonnell (1h 46m 21s), Daniel Turnbridge (1h 56m 41s), Tom Raven (1h 57m 52s), Peter Argall (1h 58m 20s), Emily de Orfe (2h 13m 31s), Catherine Marriott (2h 18m 31s).
