BURNHAM Golf Club's ladies held their autumn meeting.
The morning 18 holes were played in wet and breezy conditions but, with a lot of run on the ball, there were some good scores from the 46 players.
Results: 1st Deborah Packwood 38 points, OCB from 2nd Shelagh Edwards, 3rd Linda Sinden 37, 4th Claire Lewis 36, OCB from Moira Roberts from Liz Tolhurst from Cally Fearn.
Back nine: Liz Clark 19 points, OCB.
Front nine: Hilary Skeens 21 points, OCB.
Second shot nearest the pin on the second: Debs Wolton.
Nearest the pin on the 11th: Linda Sinden.
The afternoon was a nine-hole Burnham Texas scramble.
Results: Front nine: 1st Debs Wolton, Liz Tolhurst, Anne James and Jean Bailey 32.4, 2nd Chrissy West-Webbe, Karin Rawsthorne, Shirley Guy and Ghost player 32.6.
Back nine: 1st Sue Frost, Avis Greenaway, Helen Ford and Anne Mapes 32.6, 2nd Susan Meddle, Debs Packwood, Denise Howat and Viv Locke 33.
Twenty-two men played in the club's midweek stableford.
Results: 1st Paul Winn 38 points, 2nd Kevin Shanks 37, OCB from 3rd John Humphries, OCB from 4th Richard Krysanowski.
Burnham's seniors played the under-72s and overs challenge and the unders won.
With a large group away, it was good to see 42 men play the monthly stableford on Saturday.
Results: Division one: Nick Price 42 points, 2nd Michael Pratt 41, 3rd Paul Lindus 38, OCB from 4th Keith Wilsenham from 5th Ron Stevens.
Division two: 1st Andy Turner 40 points, OCB from John Johnson, 3rd Simon Orrin 38.
Sunday was the men’s invitation, which is greensomes golf and a social time on the course.
Fourteen couples took part on a lovely autumnal day.
Results: 1st Cally Fearn and Mickey Leonard, 2nd The Captains Jane Hull and Roger Miles 37.
The ladies took all four nearest the pins - Claire Brown (eighth), Jo Hammond (15th), Denise Howat (fifth and 11th).
The cadets played the Secretaries' Trophy in strong winds and rain on Saturday afternoon.
Results: 1st Rachel Clark 40 points, 2nd Charlie Turner 24, OCB from 3rd Richard Smith, 4th James Hallett.
