WITH the beginning of the joint evening 25-mile time trial placed alongside the usual evening tens, smaller fields of riders were on the road for Maldon Cycling Club's regular meeting.
Fastest rider on the 25-mile event was Neil Hughes of Velo Schils Interbike with a time of 59 minutes 15 seconds with the fastest Maldon rider Hamish Hore setting a time of 1h 2m 22s and fastest lady being Maldon's Rebecca Hammond in 1h 16m 16s.
In the evening ten results, fastest rider on the night was Marc Robinson of Essex Roads CC with a time of 25 minutes flat.
The fastest Maldon rider was Anthony Marsh, who finished with a time of 25m 52s.
Maldon's Harry Wood was again the fastest junior with an impressive time of 26m 26s.
Meanwhile, Maldon club member Ben Locke put in a impressive display at the Colchester Rovers Abberton Road Race, finishing in 23rd place overall and Tim Savage was in action at the Ciclos Uno Hoggenberg Classic, where he finished 18th out of a field of 44 riders.
