Heybridge Swifts bounced back from their 8-2 defeat against Soham and it was Ilford who were on the receiving end.
The visitors secured a Ryman League division one north 6-0 triumph to make up for their heavy defeat the previous Saturday.
In the tenth minute, Michael Cheek opened the scoring.
On 24 minutes, Heybridge doubled their lead through fortuitous circumstances.
A clearance from an Ilford defender struck Cheek and rebounded into the goal.
Ben Newson then made it three when his shot was deflected in on 40 minutes.
Cheek then made it four when his header hit the crossbar and then deflected in off the keeper.
Callander headed Heybridge’s fifth goal, connecting with a Solomon Ofori cross.
And it was Ofori who rounded off the day’s scoring with the sixth goal on 67 minutes.
