It is a disgrace that so many individuals within our country have broken their tier restrictions.
There have been the reports of large groups of people gathering on Southend’s seafront as well as substantial numbers of youngsters socialising together in our High Street, breaching the Covid restrictions.
Just as disappointing were the huge number of raves and parties taking place on New Year’s Eve that police then needed to break up. In some cases the results were physical and verbal assaults on some of the force’s members!
The majority of citizens in this country, whilst worn down by this virus, are doing all they can to follow the Government guidelines so that we can have a gradual return to the normality we once enjoyed.
The small minority within our population who breach the restrictions need to particularly consider our vulnerable and elderly and perhaps ask themselves – “wouldn’t they like things to be as they once were?”
