More than 5,000 fake cigarettes were seized from a man.
Officers were called to reports of suspicious circumstances in Southend on Saturday.
Police say the man had 5,780 counterfeit cigarettes and all were seized.
It comes after police siezed 9,000 illegal cigarettes and 1.7 kilos of counterfeit tobacco from a Southend town centre shop in a raid last week.

A spokesman said: "Yesterday PC BALDWIN from the Community Policing Team attended a call regarding suspicious circumstances.
"PC BALDWIN arrived at the scene to find a male with 5780 counterfeit cigarettes. All cigarettes have been seized.
"See something suspicious please report it via 101 or online. If an emergency please call 999."
