SOUTHEND United will welcome back fans to Roots Hall for their match with Scunthorpe United in mid-December.
Supporters have so far been unable to attend matches this season due to the coronavirus restrictions.
But it is has today been announced Essex will be tier two when the lockdown stops at the end of November.
And that means 2,000 fans will be inside the ground when the Shrimpers face relegation rivals Scunthorpe on Saturday December 12.
