A Labour councillor has been blocked from his party's own Twitter page.. despite setting it up himself.
Councillor Matt Dent, who represents the Kursaal ward in Southend, has hilariously been blocked by the Southend Labour account.
This will mean that Mr Dent can no longer see Southend Labour's tweets, despite founding the page back in 2009.
Seeing the funny side of the situation, Matt took to social media to inform his followers of what had happened.
He said: "I see I've been blocked by my local Labour Party's Twitter account.
"Hilariously, I'm the one who set it up.
"Ah well, you can't please everyone, I suppose. I'm sure someone will be along shortly to take me off to the gulag."
