A man has sadly died after falling ill in his flat, emergency services have revealed.
Emergency teams rushed to the scene on High Road, Langdon Hills, at around 6.40am this morning after receiving reports a man had been taken ill.
Ambulance crews worked quickly to save the man, who was in his twenties, but sadly he died at the scene.
Police were informed of the incident and his next of kin have also been contacted.
The news comes after a number of ambulances and police were spotted near to Miller & Carter on High Road Langdon Hills, Basildon, earlier this morning.
His death is not being treated as suspicious, and a file is now being prepared for the coroner.

A spokesperson from Essex Police, said: "We were called by the ambulance service shortly before 6.40am on Monday July 27 with reports a man aged in his 20s had been taken ill at a flat in High Road, Langdon Hills.
"Sadly he died at the scene. His death is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
