GOOD Samaritans took a drunk driver's keys following a crash in Wickford, police have revealed.
Posting on Twitter, PC Dean Young, from the Basildon policing team ,said officers received reports of a collosion today in Wickford.
He added members of the public had taken the driver's keys as he was drunk.
He added: "I attended and the driver was arrested by my tutee, he then gave a frighteningly high reading for the time of day."
In his Tweet, he described the high alcohol reading as outrageous.
