Here are some of the stories of south Essex criminals jailed in the past two weeks.

County Line drug gang

Ten men and a teenage boy involved in a highly profitable cocaine conspiracy have been jailed for over 65 years between them.

The group formed part of a county line drug team known as the “Dave” line, which flooded Southend with the drug from bases in Gravesend and Dartford.

In operation between February and August 2019, it had an annual turnover in excess of £1.5 million before it was brought down by police.

A single phone number was used to interact with customers and the phone received more than 750 calls or texts a day. After an extensive investigation, 11 offenders were brought to court and sentenced in June.

They included three men from the Southend borough who were jailed for a collective seven years.
