A military aircraft has just arrived at Southend Airport.
Residents took to social media to share their excitement about the Airbus A400M, which flew over Leigh before hovering over the runway and flying back into the air.

The London Southend Airport Air Traffic Control has just confirmed the arrival of the aircraft, which was designed by Airbus Military as a tactical airlifter caple of replacing older transport aircraft, such as the Transall C-160 and the Lockheed C-130 Hercules.
