A man is due to appear in court in March in connection with a crash that left a driver with seriously injuries.
The two cars – a Mazda 3TS and a Ford Focus - crashed in Brentwood Road, Grays at around 5.45pm on January 28.
The driver of the Focus sustained serious injuries.
A 27 year-old man was arrested.
Matthew Foley, of Sleepers Farm Road, Grays has now been charged with careless driving, driving without insurance, failing to provide a specimen, failing to stop at the scene of a collision, and failing to report a collision.
He is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court on March 23.
