THUGS launched a vicious unprovoked attack on a man which left him lying on the floor with a broken arm.

Essex Police have launched an appeal for information after the serious assault in Westcliff where the victim was repeatedly kicked whilst on the floor.

The incident happened when the victim, a 50-year-old man, was walking in the alleyway next to Westcliff Train Station, at the bottom of Valkyrie Road at 6.40pm on Friday.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "As the victim turned to walk into the alleyway he was approached by two men on a bike who launched an unprovoked attack, repeatedly kicking him to the floor.

"Nothing was taken from the victim and he was left with a broken arm.

"We are now investigating the incident and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward to help us find those responsible."

The first suspect in the attack was a white man, who is believed to be around 6ft tall and in his late teens, with short fair hair.

He was said to be wearing a grey or beige top.

He was sat on the handle bars of a bike ridden by his accomplice.

The second suspect was a black man, believed to be around 6ft tall, also thought to be aged in his late teens.

He may have been wearing a green top and was riding the pedal bike which they were riding when they approached the victim.
