AN OUTDOOR event was cancelled today.

Wild Woods Day, organised by Rochford District Council, was forced to be cancelled today due to what the council have described as "adverse weather conditions".

The event would have been the 16th to be organised and would have seen families take part in different outdoor activities in Hockley Woods including tomahawk throwing, bridge building and fire lighting.

The council stated they were disappointed that the event had to be cancelled and apologised to those hoping to attend.
