A YOUNG girl tragically took her own life, an inquest ruled.
Kacey, Orchard, 14, was found unresponsive in her bedroom at her home in Mendip Crescent, Westcliff, on September 11 last year.
Her family called 999 and paramedics attended the scene, but sadly, Kacey had passed away.
Essex Police attended the scene and following an investigation, concluded there were no suspicious circumstances.
At Essex Coroner's Court on Thursday, Assistant Coroner Jonathan Goodman heard that Kacey had left a note on her bed, saying she was sorry, but she "didn't want to be alive anymore".
Mr Goodman ruled that Kacey had, beyond reasonable doubt, intended to take her own life, and gave a verdict of suicide.
