With what I believe to be pointless elections this week for our EU representatives, I want to urge local residents to continue to go to the polls to have your say, despite the expensive, shambolic farce of an election.
It can be easy to get fatigued with the politics of this country, particularly after the years of chaos we all seem to enduring, but we shouldn’t ever forget our right to vote and we shouldn’t give any of our elected representatives here at home reason to think that if they drag their feet long enough, we will just switch off and stop using our voices.
I will be spoiling my ballot this week.
