Police are appealing for information after a masked robber assaulted a man and stole money from him in the street.
Officers are appealing for witnesses following the robbery which took place in Ellesmere Road, Canvey, on Monday night.
The victim, a man aged in his 20s, was approached whilst walking along the road by a man unknown to him at 10.30pm.
It occurred near to the junction of Beechcroft Road, heading towards Hawkesbury Road.
The man was dressed in all black clothing and had his face covered with a hood.
The man grabbed the victim, before assaulting him and pulling money out of his pocket.
Officers believe he left the scene on foot.
