Four vehicles have crashed at a busy junction of the A127, causing long delays.

The road is partially blocked Southend bound at Rayleigh Weir.

Drivers warned others on Facebook.

One said: "Bad accident on the 127,at the underpass at Rayleigh weir,avoid if possible."

Delays building on surrounding approaches.

Traffic is currently queuing back to Noak Bridge.

A spokesman for Essex Police said: "We are currently on the scene of a crash at Rayleigh Weir.

"The crash, which involved four vehicles, occurred just before 4.25pm on April 23.

"It is not believed that anyone is seriously injured.

"Delays are to be expected in the direction of Southend as we arrange recovery for the vehicles involved.

"Anyone with information is asked to call us on 101 quoting 747 of 23/04."
