THE director of a vaccine programme says she is "pleased and very proud" following the opening of a brand-new vaccination centre.
The Columbine Centre, in Walton, is now being used by the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust to administer Covid-19 jabs.
Residents have been waiting for the site to launch for several weeks.
Pam Sabine is the director at the Essex Partnership University NHS Foundation Trust and operational director of the coronavirus vaccine programme in the North East Essex.
Speaking earlier today, as the facility opened its doors to the public, Pam said she was thrilled to be able to finally welcome locals to the centre.
