TWO charities will join forces to help those living on the streets and in need.

The Witham Hub has already been working with Braintree based homeless support group Warm Hearts for Cold Hands throughout the pandemic.

And now bosses have reached an agreement to carry on the partnership for the foreseeable future.

Julia Best, from Warm Hearts for Cold Hands, said: "We’ve been overwhelmed by the support received for our homeless community that had been organised by the Witham Hub."

The hub's chair of trustees Tina Townsend said: "We are in an excellent position to help with the various appeals and are happy to help where we can.

"This is a natural progression for the hub ensuring we are reaching all in our community, no matter what their circumstances are."

Both groups say they will still need help from their existing supporters so they can continue their work as separate groups.

But they believe working together will help to benefit the community.
