Emergency services rushed to the scene of a "serious incident" at Rochford Hospital yesterday evening.
At around 6.45pm yesterday (July 22), police, the fire service and ambulance crews were spotted at the hospital on Union Lane, Rochford, which specialises in mental health.
Police are believed to have blocked off the entrance of the road during the incident, of which the nature is unknown.
Witnesses have reported also seeing emergency services further along the road at Rochford train station during the incident.
Essex Police and the ambulance service were contacted for comment.
