PRESENTER and reality TV star Ferne McCann tested out her sea legs as she took to a historic Harwich pier to film a segment for an upcoming show.
Christine and Roy Thompson, from Great Oakley, were delighted to snap a picture with the former The Only Way Is Essex star.
McCann, 29, was spotted stepping aboard a fishing boat as she filmed a segment for ITV’s This Morning.
The star is a regular showbiz reporter for the popular daytime talk show.
Christine, 75, said: “We were sitting on Harwich’s Ha’penny Pier when suddenly a cameraman and Ferne McCann turned up.
“We watched them as they recorded a clip about Harwich.
“While chatting to Ferne, she asked if we would like a picture together.
“It was such a surprise and she was lovely.
“We sat behind the camera as it was being filmed.”
The segment about Harwich, and promoting Essex, aired on This Morning earlier this week.
