A yellow weather warning has been issued for East England ahead of Storm Ciara.
The Met Office have released a warning for “very strong winds” over the weekend.
The winds are set to affect the whole of Essex.
The Met Office tweeted: “#StormCiara has been named and will bring very unsettled weather across the UK through Saturday night and Sunday.”
Strong winds will affect the East of England from 6pm on Saturday to 12am on Sunday.
There is expected to be some delays to road, rail, air and ferry transport and coastal routes, sea fronts and coastal communities could be affected by spray and large waves.
There is a small chance that some roads and bridges could close, and some buildings could be damaged.
