Two teenage boys were arrested by Braintree Town Centre Team on Wednesday.

Between them they have a total of 38 offences in Braintree Town Centre.

Both boys were released on bail in the early hours of Thursday.

The arrest follows multiple reports from the public of offences committed in Braintree retail parks, shops and Braintree Town centre.

A 15-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of 20 offences, ranging from October 2019 and January this year.

He was arrested on suspicion of three offences of theft from a shop, three offences of common assault, two offences of harassment, three offences of criminal damage, two offences of ABH, two offences of attempted burglary and five public order offences.

A 12-year-old boy from Cressing was also arrested.

He was arrested on suspicion of one offence of theft from a shop, two offences of common assault, two offences of harassment, two offences of criminal damage to a vehicle, two offences of ABH, one offence of common assault, one offence of burglary, one offence of criminal damage, two offences of theft from a shop, one offence of attempted burglary and five public order offences.

They remain on bail until Tuesday, February 11.
