Emergency services rushed to the scene after a cyclist was hit in Silver End this morning.

The incident occurred on Broadway, near the junction with Temple Lane, which is close to Silver End United Football Club.

Essex Police were called to the scene shortly after 8am

Emergency services attended the scene and the cyclist was taken to hospital.

A spokesperson from Essex Police said: "We are currently at the scene of a collision in Silver End.

"We were called shortly after 8am this morning, Tuesday 10 December with reports that a cyclist and a Vauxhall Zafira had be in collision on Broadway.

"No serious injuries have been reported, but the cyclist was taking to hospital as a precaution.

"No arrests have been made and enquiries are ongoing"

A spokesperson from the East of England Ambulance Service said: “We were called today (10 December) at 7.59am with reports of a collision between a car and a cyclist on Broadway, Silver End.

"We sent an ambulance crew to help on scene and one man was taken to Broomfield hospital for further treatment.”
