Bridge replaced over Balkerne Hill..
A BUSY town centre road was shut after a car hit a bollard.
Police confirmed a blue Renault car had crashed into the concrete structure in Balkerne Hill, Colchester, at 10pm on Thursday.
Fortunately, no serious injuries were recorded.
The road was shut while Essex Highways performed a clean up operation. It was open again by 12.30am on Friday.
