The Prodigy have paid tribute to their band mate on what would have been his 50th birthday.

Frontman, Keith Flint was found dead at his home in North End, near Dunmow on March 4.

An inquest into his death heard Keith died by hanging.

Marking Keith’s first birthday since his passing, bandmates, Liam Howlett and Maxim, wrote on Twitter “Happy birthday Flinty, not a single day passes u aren’t in our thoughts, we miss you brother, Raise the roof wherever u are m**********! L & M…. X”

The post, which was also shared on Instagram was accompanied by several picture of Flint during his career.

Electronic dance magazine Mixmag also posted a three-minute video this morning titled ‘Remembering the life of The Prodigy’s Keith Flint’ with the caption ‘Happy Birthday Keith Flint. RIP king.’

Last month, The Prodigy confirmed their return to the studio for the first time since Keith’s death.

In a photo shared on their Twitter feed they said “Back in the studio making noise .. brand new Prodigy tunes are gonna roll, boooom #theprodigy #weliveforthebeats #weliveforever #cantstoptherock.”

Last week bosses as Braintree Town FC announced they will be putting up a memorial to honour Keith.

Work is expected to be completed in early October.
