FLORAL tributes have been laid out at the scene where a man died after succumbing to life-threatening injuries.
The victim – named locally as Daryl Bunn, 27 – was rushed to hospital after being attacked near Iceland on Saturday night.
He died from his injuries at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, in Cambridge, the next day.
Tributes have been laid in the alleyway nearby.
Town leaders spoke of their shock at the incident.
Maldon town mayor Flo Shaughnessy said: “Following this terrible and tragic incident in the town on Saturday evening, I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the family and friends of the young man who was killed.
“I’m sure everyone in Maldon will share my sorrow at this senseless act.”
