A SHOP and pair of flats could be knocked down and replaced with six homes.
Frank Ladkin is seeking planning permission from Braintree Council to demolish 76-78 Manor Street, Braintree, and replace the building with a set of flats.
The complex would consist of four one-bedroom flats and a further two two-bedroom apartments.
The plans submitted to the council state there will be off-street parking provided with the development, along with communal facilities such as a cycle shelter and waste storage.
Access to the properties would be provided on both the front and back of the building, which would be three storeys high and join with neighbouring buildings.
Braintree Council will now ask for responses from statutory consultees and members of the public before making a final ruling on the scheme later this year.
