POLICE say they are no longer looking for any suspects in connection with a fight in Braintree Town Centre.

Eight men have so far been arrested following the brawl, which happened in Market Place on Saturday, January 5.

Five of those taken into custody remain under investigation while the remaining three were all released after voluntary coming forward to be interviewed.

With no one yet charged in connection with the incident, investigating officer DC Leila Sandford has once again appealed to the public to help with inquiries.

She said: "The investigation is still progressing and I am keen to hear from anyone who saw what happened or has any information, but has yet to come forward.

"I am hugely grateful for those witnesses that have already spoken with me and provided vital information about this incident."

A 19-year-old man was stabbed in the hand during the punch-up and suffered life-changing injuries.
