A driver who was caught doing 104mph on one of the country's busiest roads has been handed a hefty fine.
Paul Hellier, of Tye Green, Braintree, was convicted of speeding when he appeared at Chelmsford Magistrates Court on April 26.
Hellier, 31, was caught driving 34mph over the national speed limit on the M25 near Cranham on October 20 last year.
Magistrates handed him a £800 fine and added six points to his driver’s licence.
Hellier was also ordered to pay further £170 in costs, including a victim surcharge of £80.
