THE promoters of the Sir Tom Jones concert in Colchester Castle Park are raising the roof for a charity supporting young people.

LHG Live has joined forces with the Prince’s Trust.

During the concert, messages will be shared on the big screens inviting people to donate to the charity.

The Prince’s Trust supports 11 to 30-year-olds who are unemployed, struggling at school and at risk of exclusion.

Liz Doogan-Hobbs is the promoter’s chief executive officer.

She said: “Concertgoers will be able to donate by text at any time, should they wish to, on the text numbers we will carry on the screens.

“This is a great initiative to raise awareness for the incredible work of the Prince’s Trust and, of course, a nod towards Sir Tom Jones’ own support for the charity in his capacity as an ambassador.”

The music legend will be performing in Castle Park on July 21.

Limited tickets are still on sale and are available at www.ticketmaster.co.uk.
