TEENAGE yobs allegedly hurled eggs from a shop roof towards people in the street below.
Witness Elias Tawil said the group of 15 to 16-year-olds were on the Poundland in St John’s Street, Colchester, at 10.30pm on Monday.
He added: “I heard and saw the eggs breaking on the junction between St John’s Street and Abbeygate Street.
“I was wondering where they came from at first.
“After I unlocked my bike and went on Abbeygate Street, I saw the kids on the roof.
“There were several of them. At least three if not more, but I'm not too sure.
“They realised that I saw them and then quickly went on to take a lower profile.
“They could have been around 15 or 16-years-old, I'm not sure.”
Mr Tawil said he had no idea how the group managed to scale the building.
The incident was understood to not have been reported to Essex Police.
