A BUSY road was partially blocked after a scaffolding lorry overturned in a collision.
Firefighters from Halstead Fire Station were called to the A1124 at Tyburn Hill, White Colne, shortly after 5pm on Saturday.
Traffic was blocked in both directions as drivers tried to negotiate the scene.
A spokesman for Halstead Fire Station said: "We were called shortly after 5pm yesterday to reports of an accident involving a lorry.
"When we arrived the scaffolding lorry had overturned and some of the load was in the road."
The accident took place between the junctions for Boley Road, White Colne, and Lane Road, Chappel, near to Wakes Hall Lodges.
Queues died down by around 7pm.
It is not known whether anyone was injured in the collision.
